Discontinue SCAD's emergency system updates
For people who are getting phone updates, but do not want them. If they are a student, faculty or staff, they should be able to remove a personal phone number from MySCAD themselves. If the person is a relative (parent) to a student, they should ask the student to see if the information is in the emergency contact page in MySCAD. There is a check box to "Add phone number to Connect-ED:" on that page - unchecking the box will remove that phone number.
If the person is not affiliated with SCAD or the student doesn't see the phone number, the technology support center will have to be contacted. A ticket will then be created for the Information Services Department to correct the issue.
How to check your contact information in MySCAD:
1. Go to myscad.scad.edu and log in
2. Click the "My Info" tab
3. Click “Update Emergency Information"
